XDD, LLC TO DISCUSS IN-SITU BIOREMEDIATION IMPLEMENTATION DESIGN & SYSTEM OPERATION AT NEWMOA WORKSHOPS
September 30, 2010
XDD President Mike Marley will be presenting at a series of Enhanced In-Situ Bioremediation Workshops sponsored by the Northeast Waste Management Officials' Association. The workshops -- which will be held in Westford, MA on Tuesday, October 5, and in Dayville, CT on Wednesday, October 6 -- will provide attendees with an overview of in-situ bioremediation (ISB) as a method which relies on controlling and/or manipulating microbial processes in the soil or subsurface waters to remediate contaminants of concern. The workshop will discuss not only the applicability of ISB under various site conditions, but also the various considerations for designing and implementing a successful ISB system.
At each of these workshops, XDD's Mike Marley will discuss "Implementation Design and System Operation" for ISB projects, which will cover the impacts of geology and site logistics as well as delivery system options. In addition, Mike's presentation will provide several case studies from XDD's extensive ISB experience to illustrate the concepts discussed.
