I also worked with XDD on another site in Midwestern United States where I required consulting services to close a site on a risk-based analysis.  My previous consultant had taken the project to a point where final risk-based closure was required, but they did not possess the level of engineering skills provided by XDD.  XDD evaluated the collected site data and performed contaminant fate and transport modeling analyses to successfully demonstrate to the regulatory agency that site closure was warranted.

As a Technical Lead & Design Engineer, Scott is responsible for overseeing XDD design teams on complex soil and groundwater remediation projects.  Scott is currently leading XDD’s thermally enhanced remediation group.  Scott has been responsible for multi-million dollar remediation projects at dozens of CERCLA, RCRA, State-led, and Private Industry sites.  He has experience in developing technically sound/defensible interpretations within regulatory frameworks to focus remedial requirements, promote site closure, and achieve client goals.  Scott also has experience in agency & public relations and has supported legal and public acceptance initiatives to gain acceptance of proposed remediation strategies.   He earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.  Mr. Crawford has published in peer reviewed journals and has presented the results of his work at nationally recognized conferences, webinars, and industry/professional meetings.  crawford@xdd-llc.com

Derek is the Midwest Operations Manager at XDD, LLC in St. Louis.
